Since the inception of the city in 15th century, when Sikander Lodi brought it’s capital from Delhi to Agra, the city itself had become one of the biggest linguistic lab in northern India. The journey of Urdu, Hindi, Hindustani as language have taken shape in these old parts of Agra. Be it Meer Taqi Meer , Ghalib or Nazir Akbarabadi, the references and metadata you get about the city through poetry is truly vibrant and in mesmerizing.
